The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is creating opportunities for
content creators to make production more efficient, from finding ideas
to editing videos. However, using the technology also requires new
skills so creators can maintain the quality of their work, transparency
and audience trust.

As the digital economy develops, AI is increasingly being used at
various stages of the creative process. The technology helps users find
inspiration, produce content and learn new skills. However, its benefits
still depend on how it is used, including people’s ability to assess the
results and ensure that the content is appropriate to its context.

Alfons Tanujaya, an information technology observer and cybersecurity
expert, said users’ responsibility is becoming increasingly important as
AI capabilities develop.

“The development of generative AI is advancing far faster than the
public’s ability to adapt and learn to recognise it. In the past, making
a creative video took quite a long time, but now anyone can produce
images or videos that are almost indistinguishable from the real thing
in a matter of seconds. At this point, user responsibility and platform
transparency are the primary lines of defence, not optional extras,”
Alfons said in a statement on Friday (23 October 2026).

For creators, AI can help speed up their work and broaden the ways in
which they produce content. However, this efficiency needs to be matched
by the ability to develop ideas, bring a human perspective and ensure
the final result offers added value.

Alfons added that human involvement is still needed behind every
piece of information or content produced with AI assistance. “Real added
value comes when we bring perspective, empathy and analytical expertise
to turn AI’s raw data into meaningful solutions that have a positive
impact on the public,” he said.

TikTok creator Theresa said AI can support creativity when used
appropriately and responsibly. Transparency about AI use is also
necessary to maintain audience trust. Creators can enable the AI Label
before uploading content and explain their use of the technology to
their audience.

To support transparency, TikTok has introduced features and
technologies to help users identify AI-generated content. Two years ago,
TikTok became the first video platform to implement C2PA Content
Credentials, a technology that helps users identify content created or
significantly edited using AI.

To date, TikTok has labelled more than three billion AI-generated
videos worldwide through a combination of Content Credentials, Creator
Labelling Tools and invisible watermarking. Users can also enable the AI
Label when uploading AI-generated content.

AI for more efficient
content production

Choosing AI tools that suit their needs is one way creators can
improve efficiency. Using the right technology can make the processes of
finding ideas, planning and editing content more focused.

TikTok offers users a range of creative AI tools. AI Outline helps
creators develop rough ideas into content outlines, titles, hashtags and
hooks. Smart Split, available in TikTok Studio, automatically turns
longer videos into several short clips.

These tools give creators options for tailoring their production
process to the needs of their content. Although they can speed up work,
the final result still needs to be reviewed to ensure it meets the
creator’s objectives and suits the audience.
",
