JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Three men riding a motorcycle were chased and\nattacked by a group of unidentified youths on Jalan Bandengan Utara,\nPekojan, Tambora, West Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The head of the criminal investigation unit at the Tambora Police\nPrecinct, AKP Sudrajat Djumantara, said that the victims\u2019 motorcycle had\nbeen stolen by the perpetrators.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt appears their motorcycle was taken, because when we checked the\nscene, the motorcycle was no longer there,\u201d said AKP Sudrajat when\nconfirmed by Kompas.com via WhatsApp on Sunday (17\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
Based on information gathered through CCTV footage and witnesses at\nthe scene, police suspect that the incident was a gang fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt wasn\u2019t a robbery; our preliminary suspicion is that it was a gang\nfight,\u201d said Sudrajat.<\/p>\n
When asked about the condition of one of the men who was recorded on\nCCTV being targeted in the attack, Sudrajat did not provide further\ndetails.<\/p>\n
He affirmed that they are currently investigating and searching for\nthe suspected perpetrators of the gang fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are currently investigating,\u201d said Sudrajat.<\/p>\n
While being chased by the group of motorcyclists, the motorcycle\nridden by the three young men swerved and crashed into a lamppost on the\nside of the road.<\/p>\n
After falling from the motorcycle, a group of around 5 motorcycles\ncarrying approximately 11 people, who are suspected of chasing them,\nimmediately approached.<\/p>\n
The group was seen carrying sharp weapons, including machetes of\nvarious sizes.<\/p>\n
The three victims immediately fled and were no longer visible on\ncamera, leaving their white motorcycle lying on the side of the\nroad.<\/p>\n
The perpetrators then drove in the opposite direction on Jalan\nBandengan Utara towards Jalan Jembatan Tiga, Penjaringan, North\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
