        "content": "<p>Three workers on a drinking water pipeline project died in the Bambu\nApus area of Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Thursday. They are suspected to\nhave suffered gas poisoning after entering a culvert.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Wahid, Head of Operations for the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue\nService, said his office received the report at 9.49 a.m. Western\nIndonesian Time. Officers immediately went to the location to carry out\nan evacuation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThree victims died,\u201d he said in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, officers arrived at the scene at around 9.55 a.m.\nWestern Indonesian Time. The evacuation process took two hours,\nconcluding at 11.55 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.<\/p>\n<p>Based on information gathered, the incident began when a project\nworker entered the culvert and lost consciousness halfway through. \u201cThe\ndrinking water company project worker was entering the culvert and then\nfainted halfway down the ladder,\u201d Abdul said.<\/p>\n<p>A colleague then attempted to rescue him but also lost consciousness.\nA third worker tried the same and similarly fainted. The workers are\nsuspected to have died from gas poisoning.<\/p>",
