Three 'URC' cars on the road<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The elite Jakarta detectives speed reaction
\nunit, known by its acronym URC, has deployed three of its high-
\nspeed patrol cars on the Jagorawi toll road to help arrest
\ncareless drivers.<\/p>\n
Lt. Col. Edi Darnadi, a senior URC officer, said on Thursday
\nthat the three vehicles, all of which are sports cars, are
\nequipped with standard investigation kits and safety tools.<\/p>\n
"The black cars are driven by talented personnel who are
\nassigned to chase after reckless drivers on the highway," Edi
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The Jagorawi highway, which links the capital with cities in
\nWest Java, has witnessed a great number of traffic accidents,
\nmainly caused by stubborn and reckless drivers.<\/p>\n
According to City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Iman Haryatna, the
\nteam is also assigned to corner vehicles driven by wanted
\ncriminals.<\/p>\n
"If needed, we may deploy similar units on other toll roads in
