        "content": "<p>Three Timor students arrested<\/p>\n<p>BOBONARO, East Timor (JP): Governor Abilio Jose Osorio Soares<br>\nsaid security authorities arrested three local students for<br>\nbringing in forbidden books and `foreign items.&apos;<\/p>\n<p>The East Timorese, who pursue their studies in Java, were<br>\narrested on their arrival at 2 a.m Saturday in Dili, Abilio told<br>\nThe Jakarta Post after swearing in the new Bobonaro regent<br>\nGuilherme dos Santos.<\/p>\n<p>The students, identified as Arseno P. Bano, Barytolomeu<br>\nSexuira and Jose de Tafares, were later released on Saturday but<br>\nwere requested to keep in touch with the authorities until they<br>\ngot back to Java.<\/p>\n<p>He said the authorities confiscated unspecified books<br>\npublished by the Jakarta-based Pijar (Glow) Foundation and items<br>\nimported from abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Abilio, who said he was just informed of the incident by East<br>\nTimor police chief Andreas Sugiarto, declined to comment when<br>\nasked why the books were banned in the province although the<br>\nSupreme Court in Jakarta had not issued the ruling.
