        "content": "<p>Three thinkers appointed to BPPT<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The government has announced three new senior<br>\nresearchers will be appointed to the prestigious Agency for the<br>\nAssessment and Application of Technology (BPPT).<\/p>\n<p>Harkali Setiyono will receive the post for his work in the use<br>\nof light steel in construction, Sumaryanto for his study on<br>\nbiotechnology innovation for health, and Sarmidi Armin for his<br>\nresearch on the post-harvest treatment of cacao for export.<\/p>\n<p>The three will be officially installed on Tuesday at the BPPT<br>\noffice by the head of senior researchers council Umar Anggara<br>\nJenie in a ceremony to be attended by State Minister of Research<br>\nand Technology Kusmayanto Kadiman, who also heads the BPPT.<\/p>\n<p>With the new appointments there will be 27 Indonesians with<br>\nthe title of senior researcher, which like professorships, are<br>\nawarded by the President. -- JP<\/p>",
