        "content": "<p>Three students arrested, two injured<\/p>\n<p>BANDUNG: Three students from Bandung&apos;s Pendidikan Indonesia<br>\nUniversity (UPI) were taken into police custody and two other<br>\nstudents from Parahyangan University were injured during a brawl<br>\nover a volley ball match, an official said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Bandung Regional Police chief Sr. Comr. Timur Pradopo told The<br>\nJakarta Post by phone from Bandung that as of Tuesday afternoon<br>\nthe situation was under control. A tight security cordon had been<br>\ndeployed to secure the Parahyangan campus on Jl. Cieumbuleuit in<br>\nBandung.<\/p>\n<p>The incident broke out at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday<br>\ninvolving hundreds of students from both universities, creating<br>\npanic among locals and motorists.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The situation is under control following talks between<br>\nofficials from both universities involved in the brawl,&quot; officer<br>\nTimur said.<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting between UPI&apos;s deputy dean Rusli Ibrahim and<br>\nParahyangan&apos;s deputy rector Budi Pangarso it was agreed that the<br>\nfight was a result of a misunderstanding between students and<br>\nthat the case would be legally processed.<\/p>\n<p>Many Parahyangan students reportedly were afraid to go home as<br>\nthey faced the possibility of having UPI students block their way<br>\nout of the campus.<\/p>\n<p>Reports, however, said that tension had been increasing since<br>\nMonday following the annual sports competition held by<br>\nParahyangan, which featured volley ball, basket ball, baseball<br>\nand kempo martial art.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;On Tuesday, supporters of one of the universities got angry<br>\nas their team lost a volley ball game and started to throw<br>\nstones.
