Three over stay foreigners arrested<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Immigration officers arrested three foreigners
\nholding Yemen, Syrian and Moroccan passports respectively, for
\noverstaying.<\/p>\n
The head of immigration's control and supervision department,
\nZaiman Nurmatias, said the three men were arrested at their
\nrented homes on Jl. Kramat Sentiong, Central Jakarta, Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The three were Lazreg Abelillah with Yemen passport number
\nH889312; Abdul Rahman with Syrian passport number 799240; and
\nAhmad Kasem with Moroccan passport number 2301630.<\/p>\n
The three had not tried to extend their visas which allowed
\nthem to stay only one year, Zaiman said.<\/p>\n
He said the three were married to Indonesians but none could
\nshow legal marriage documents.<\/p>\n
\"Many foreigners marry Indonesians so they can work and stay
\nlonger without proper documents,\" he said. The three said that
\nthey worked in fashion and modeling.<\/p>\n
One of the arrested men tried to bribe the officers but got no
\nresponse, Zaiman said.<\/p>\n
He said the arrests were conducted after his office received
\ninformation from their neighbors.<\/p>\n
\"Indonesians who plan to marry foreigners should first check
\non their spouses' identities and documents to avoid problems in
