Three killed in Tanah Abang fire<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Three women were killed and five others injured
\nin a fire that gutted part of a four-story building on Jl.
\nFakhrudin in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Friday evening, a
\npolice officer said.<\/p>\n
Tanah Abang Police substation chief, Capt. Angesta R. Yoyol,
\nvoiced concern that many more victims would be found under the
\ndebris since the fire had not yet been fully extinguished.<\/p>\n
The officer said the building is used for the quarters of
\nDjajanti Group's employees.<\/p>\n
He added that his officers were searching for clues to the
\ncause of the fire and the number of the people inside the
\nbuilding at the time of the fire.<\/p>\n
\"We're still investigating the case,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Witnesses said the fire broke out at 6:30 p.m. At least 10
\nfire engines were deployed to the scene.<\/p>\n
All three bodies were sent to Cipto Mangunkusumo General
\nHospital, and the five wounded women were admitted to nearby
\nTarakan Hospital for medical treatment. (06)<\/p>",
