NEW DELHI: Three Indian sailors on a commercial vessel hit by the\nUnited States off the coast of Oman are dead, New Delhi\u2019s shipping\nminister said on Thursday (Jun 11).<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is deeply unfortunate to learn of the tragic incident aboard the\nPalau-flagged MT Settebello,\u201d Sarbananda Sonowal said in a statement,\nreferring to the strike on the vessel a day earlier.<\/p>\n
\u201cSadly, three Indian seafarers initially reported missing are now\nconfirmed dead after bodies have been located and identified.\u201d<\/p>\n
India\u2019s foreign ministry summoned a top US diplomat in New Delhi\nafter the US attack on Wednesday on MT Settebello to lodge \u201ca strong\nprotest\u201d.<\/p>\n
