        "content": "<p>Three flyovers inaugurated<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: City residents still have to face chronic traffic<br>\ncongestion in many parts of the city despite the inauguration of<br>\nthree flyovers costing Rp 81.97 billion by Governor Sutiyoso on<br>\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The governor said that the problem would remain due to the<br>\nlack of mass transportation.<\/p>\n<p>The three overpasses are in Penggilingan, Galur and Kalibata.<\/p>\n<p>Later this year, the city administration will start the<br>\nconstruction of similar projects in Cawang, Senen and Tomang.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, five other projects are still under way: three<br>\noverpasses in Pancoran, Kuningan and Jl. Daan Mogot, and two<br>\nunderpasses at Jl. Pramuka and Ciputat. All except the one on Jl.<br>\nDaan Mogot are expected to be completed this year. The Jl. Daan<br>\nMogot overpass is scheduled for completion in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to deal with the traffic jams, Sutiyoso said that<br>\nthe administration would launch its busway system later this<br>\nyear.<\/p>\n<p>The controversial busway project has been delayed many times<br>\nas experts have questioned its effectiveness to cope with traffic<br>\nproblems here.--JP<\/p>",
