        "content": "<p>A three-car pile-up occurred on the West Ring Road, Jalan Siliwangi,\nin Turusan hamlet, Banyuraden, Gamping, Sleman. The crash was suspected\nto have been triggered when one car lost control and entered the\nopposing lane.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe collision occurred at around 6.10am on Wednesday (29 October).\nIt is suspected to have started when a car lost control and entered the\nopposing lane,\u201d Sleman Police public relations chief First Inspector\nArgo Anggoro told detikJogja on Wednesday (28 October 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Argo said the vehicles involved were a Mitsubishi SS driven by J, 40,\nfrom Bantul; a Honda Jazz driven by S, 44, from Tempel, Sleman; and a\nDaihatsu Xenia driven by S, 59, from Moyudan, Sleman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Mitsubishi SS was travelling from south to north. It is\nsuspected to have lost control, hit the road barrier, then entered the\nopposing lane and struck two cars travelling from north to south,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Argo said several drivers and passengers sustained bruising in the\ncrash and received outpatient medical treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere have been no reports of fatalities. Material losses from the\ncollision are estimated at Rp50 million,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Argo added that officers had examined the condition of those involved\nand gathered witness statements and evidence. Further information would\nbe provided later.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOfficers from the Sleman Police Traffic Unit attended and secured\nthe scene, examined the condition of those involved, and collected\nwitness statements and evidence for further investigation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Argo urged the public to take care when driving and remain focused\nthroughout their journeys. Drivers were also asked to adjust their speed\nto road conditions and ensure their vehicles were roadworthy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDrivers are advised to rest if they feel tired or unwell. Obey\ntraffic signs and road markings for everyone\u2019s safety,\u201d he\nconcluded.<\/p>",
