Three athletes get awards<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): National athletes Irene Joseph, Nunung Jayadi
\nand Posnianus Kahol received awards from The Athlete's Foot on
\nWednesday for their record breaking achievements at this month's
\n20th South East Asian (SEA) Games in Brunei Darussalam.<\/p>\n
\"We hope that the awards will incite them to improve their
\nperformances in the future,\" said Sunny Setiawan, operation
\nmanager of The Athlete's Foot Group Incorporated office in
\nIndonesia, declining to state the form of the awards.<\/p>\n
Irene set a new SEA Games record in the women's 100-meter
\nevent with a time of 11.56 seconds. She took the silver in the
\n200 meters clocking 24.02 seconds. Nunung also created a new
\nrecord in the pole vault of 5.05 meters and Posianus in the
\njavelin of 67.49 meters.<\/p>\n
Athlete's Foot Group Inc. is an international sports company
\nbased in Atlanta, Georgia, and has 800 shops in the United States
\nand more shops in 45 other countries. Their venture is to give
\nthe best service for athletes in all sports, from track and field
\nto basketball.<\/p>\n
Robert J. Corliss, the company's president, said that the
\ncompany also develops young athletes to become super stars.<\/p>\n
\"We are confident that The Athlete's Foot concept could
\ndevelop in Indonesia. We are looking forward to helping to
\ndevelop Indonesian athletes. There are already 26 outlets in
\nIndonesia and we hope to add another outlet in Surabaya,\" Corliss
\nsaid adding that in developing the athletes, the company uses the
\nFit Tech system.<\/p>\n
The Fit Tech system gives athletes the better choice to select
\ntheir shoes. \"This system was shown very effective during the
\nmatches where the athletes felt the flexibility of their
