Three arrested for bank robbery<\/p>\n
MEDAN: Police have arrested three of the four people they
\nsuspect of robbing Bank Tamara of Rp 529 million (US$220,000)
\nlast week.<\/p>\n
Head of the detective unit at the province's police command,
\nSukris Prayitno, said police arrested two suspects, each aged 34,
\nin Deli Serdang Friday, just a day after they caught the first
\nculprit.<\/p>\n
They admitted receiving Rp 30 million and 50 million each from
\nthe loot.<\/p>\n
The first suspect, MY, was arrested in Jambi. Assuming the
\nname of Dedi Iskandar, the suspect resisted arrest and was shot
\nin the leg before he surrendered, Antara reported.<\/p>\n
Dedi was a member of the Mobile Brigade, the police's special
\nforce, who was assigned to secure the bank at the time of the
\nincident. He was arrested at his luxurious home in Jambi.<\/p>\n
The suspect, who worked for the bank for two years, admitted
\nhe had planned the robbery a long time ago, Antara reported. (11)<\/p>",
