        "content": "<p>Thousands rally against dump plan<\/p>\n<p>BOGOR: Thousands of residents living in the vicinity of a dump<br>\nplanned by the Jakarta administration at Bojong, Klapanunggal,<br>\nBogor, staged a rally in front of the site on Sunday to protest<br>\nagainst the plan.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters, mostly housewives and children from Situsari,<br>\nBojong, Sukamaju and Singasari villages, were supported by the<br>\nJakarta branch of the Indonesian Forum for the Environment<br>\n(Walhi), the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of<br>\nViolence (Kontras), and the Banten Community Struggle<br>\norganization.<\/p>\n<p>They erected a 50 centimeter by 100 centimeter sign in front<br>\nof the proposed dump reading: \"A dump in Bojong violates<br>\nMunicipal Bylaw No. 17\/2000. Therefore, the residents of eastern<br>\nBogor are blocking access to this site.\" -- JP<\/p>",
