The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education stated that regional variations in test questions prevent direct score comparisons between provinces, as each undergoes separate verification before scoring.

Jakarta – The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education
(Kemendikdasmen) reported more than 1,000 students achieved perfect
scores in Maths during the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for primary and
secondary schools.

“Some students achieved perfect scores by answering all questions
correctly. The number of perfect scores in Indonesian is higher than in
Maths,” said Rahmawati, Head of the Education Assessment Centre
(Pusmendik) at the Ministry, during a media briefing on TKA results for
secondary school (SMP/MTs) and primary school (SD/MI) levels in Jakarta
on Tuesday.

For primary school level (SD/MI), 814 students scored perfectly in
Maths, while 271 achieved perfect marks at secondary school level
(SMP/MTS) for the same subject. In Indonesian language, 4,509 students
scored perfectly at primary school level, and 4,051 achieved perfect
marks at secondary school level.

Rahmawati further explained that TKA questions for primary and
secondary school levels are composed of 70% by the central government
and 30% by local authorities.

Therefore, she stressed that TKA scores cannot be compared across
regions as they have not undergone standardisation of questions across
localities.

“Different provinces have different questions, and for all these
questions, we conduct verification and validation before scoring,” she
said.

The ministry has published TKA results by subject, education level,
and province, ordered according to the provincial codes registered in
the TKA registration system.
",
