        "content": "<p>Thoby reinstalled as Trisakti rector<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Trisakti University was struck by an internal<br>\nconflict between the Trisakti university senate and the Trisakti<br>\nfoundation over the tenure extension of its incumbent rector<br>\nThoby Mutis.<\/p>\n<p>Following a protest being advertised in several local papers<br>\nby Trisakti foundation, the university's board of trustees<br>\ninstalled on Wednesday Thoby as Trisakti rector in support of the<br>\nsenate's decision to extend Thoby's rectorial term.<\/p>\n<p>\"Thoby will serve as Trisakti rector until Sep.9, 2006. We<br>\nhope all members of Trisakti community will continue its normal<br>\noperation, undisturbed by the conflict,\" Haryasudirja, chairman<br>\nof the board of trustees told a media briefing.<\/p>\n<p>Thoby will continue leading the university, which has more<br>\nthan 30,000 students and 2,352 lecturers, after completing his<br>\nfirst four-year term this year.<\/p>\n<p>Haryasudirja claimed that no academic or office activities<br>\nwere disrupted by the conflict.--JP<\/p>",
