The Directorate of Economic and Special Crimes (Dittipideksus) of the\nNational Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) has\nexamined the celebrity couple Dude Harlino and Alyssa Soebandono in\nconnection with the alleged fraud and embezzlement case at PT Dana\nSyariah Indonesia (DSI). They were questioned due to their previous\nroles as brand ambassadors for the fintech company.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to obtain statements regarding the roles of the two\nwitnesses as brand ambassadors at PT DSI,\u201d said the head of the PT DSI\ncase investigation team, Brigadier General Susatyo Purnomo Condro, to\nreporters at Bareskrim Polri in South Jakarta on Thursday\n(2\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Susatyo stated that his team is delving into whether PT DSI\u2019s\nmanagement provided specific information or narratives to the brand\nambassadors for dissemination to the public. Susatyo noted that both had\ncollaborated with PT DSI for approximately three years.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, when they chose DSI as a sharia investment option, we\nwant to explore whether DSI also provided explanations to these two\nwitnesses to enable effective promotion for DSI,\u201d Susatyo said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe examined the contract between them and DSI, including fees and so\non. All of that is part of the examination, as well as how they\nunderstood DSI\u2019s business plan to convey it to the wider public,\u201d\nSusatyo added.<\/p>\n
Susatyo stated that the results of the examination of Dude and Alyssa\nwill be further explored and cross-referenced with other evidence.\nInvestigators, he said, do not rule out the possibility of recalling\nthem if necessary.<\/p>\n
When asked about the potential legal involvement of the two, Susatyo\nemphasised that it is still under investigation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether they were purely professional or had other involvement, that\nis part of our examination material,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
As is known, Bareskrim Polri has designated four individuals as\nsuspects in this case. They are:<\/p>\n

Actor Dude Harlino affirmed that he has no involvement in the\ninternal management of PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (DSI). Dude stated that\nhis dealings with PT DSI were limited to his work as a brand ambassador\n(BA).<\/p>\n
This was conveyed after Dude and his wife, Alyssa Soebandono, were\nquestioned regarding the alleged fraud and embezzlement case at PT DSI\nat Bareskrim Polri on Thursday (2\/4). Their legal representative,\nMuhammad Al Ayubi Harahap, revealed that the questioning primarily\nexplored the roles and duties of his clients as brand ambassadors for\nthe company.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe questions were around their job descriptions at PT DSI as brand\nambassadors. What their work entailed, and it was explained that it was\nindeed professional work, a working relationship, and the tasks were\nproportional,\u201d Ayubi told reporters at Bareskrim Polri in South Jakarta\non Thursday (2\/4).<\/p>\n
Ayubi explained that Dude\u2019s collaboration with PT DSI was bound by an\nofficial contract, renewed annually.<\/p>\n
\u201cMr Dude was a brand ambassador for PT DSI, and there is clearly a\ncontract for it. The contract is annual and extended. Beyond that, there\nis no other involvement,\u201d he clarified.<\/p>\n
He added that his clients were unaware of the company\u2019s internal\nactivities. Therefore, he said, questions from investigators touching on\ninternal management aspects were answered by his clients with the\nassertion that they were external parties to the company.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince we are not internal to PT DSI, we are external parties whose\nservices were hired by PT DSI, with agreements outlined in the contract\nand implementation of that contract,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
In line with this, Dude also assured that he has no connection to PT\nDSI\u2019s internal management. He emphasised that his relationship with PT\nDSI was limited to work.<\/p>\n
