        "content": "<p>Officials at TPS 3R Kober in Semper Timur, Cilincing, North Jakarta,\nhave outlined the waste sorting process that starts from the household\nlevel and extends to the waste processing facility. The procedure\ninvolves several stages aimed at reducing the volume of residual waste\nthat ends up at the Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST) Bantargebang\nor the Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Rorotan. Rudi, an official at the TPS\n3R Kober depot, explained that sorting actually begins at residents\u2019\nhomes before collection to the TPS. According to him, there are three\nmain stages of waste sorting: at the household level, by collection\nworkers using carts, and further sorting at the TPS. Upon arrival at the\nTPS, the waste brought by carts is immediately separated by type.\nResidual waste that can no longer be utilised is placed into bin tongs\nand then transported by truck to the final disposal site. \u201cFrom the\ncart, it\u2019s unloaded and immediately separated. The residue goes into the\nbin tong for disposal to Bantargebang. The stuff that can\u2019t be used\nanymore,\u201d he said. Not only plastic, but other materials like cork and\nwood are also separated for further utilisation. Organic waste is\ncollected separately and sent to TPS 3R Asrama Semper for processing.\nRudi stated that they also encourage residents to start sorting organic\nwaste at home, particularly food scraps and vegetable remnants. \u201cOn\nWednesdays, I have a task; I\u2019ve already given out plastic bags. Every\nplastic bag for the house, then on Wednesday, vegetable scraps, rice\nleftovers, whatever, I\u2019ll collect them,\u201d Rudi revealed.
