According to
detikJateng on Friday (24/4/2026), the Smuggling Task Force of the
Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of Polda
Jateng has arrested two suspects in this case. Dozens of vehicles
intended for smuggling were allegedly transported from a warehouse
located behind factories along the road towards Solo Baru. The warehouse
door faces a village road flanked by rice fields on both sides. The
location is in Pandanan Village, Wonosari Subdistrict. The front
building resembles an office with a garage door on the side. The walls
are unpainted, still showing the cement colour, and are about 2-3 metres
high. The warehouse stands on the site of a former rice field plot that
stretches lengthwise. The door is closed, with no activity. Klaten
Police Criminal Investigation Chief, AKP Taufik Frida Mustofa, stated
that the warehouse in Wonosari, Klaten, was used by the perpetrators as
a transit point for vehicles to be smuggled to Timor Leste. “First
secured in Semarang, in Wonosari it’s just a transit for the units. Pick
up the evidence (BB) and return,” said Taufik. Dirreskrimsus of Polda
Jateng, Kombes Djoko Julianto, said the case was uncovered after
officers received information about a container shipment containing
vehicles without proper documents or only with STNK, passing through
Semarang City. Officers then secured two containers, each containing 17
motorcycles and two cars. After interrogating the truck drivers,
officers followed up at the pickup location for the container contents
at the warehouse on Pakis-Daleman Road Km 4, Wonosari. “At the
warehouse, 12 motorcycles and two six-wheeled trucks ready to load into
containers were found,” Djoko revealed.
",
