Privacy Display is a feature that can block the view from others by\nmaking the screen dark when viewed from the side, but remains bright\nwhen viewed from the front.<\/p>\n
This feature is claimed to be the first of its kind, so Samsung\nclaims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the first smartphone in the world to\nbe equipped with this feature.<\/p>\n
For Bernadya, Privacy Display is her favourite feature after trying\nit out directly.<\/p>\n
\u201cI like Privacy Display the most because people next to me can\u2019t see\nwhat I\u2019m looking at,\u201d Bernadya told KompasTekno, Thursday (February 26,\n2026).<\/p>\n
The singer of the song \u201cUntungnya\u201d also said that the Privacy Display\nfeature on the Samsung S26 Ultra is embedded in the device\u2019s screen, so\nthere is no need to add separate accessories such as anti-spy tempered\nglass.<\/p>\n
According to Bernadya, this feature is very useful when in public\nplaces.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis feature is perfect for me who often suddenly thinks about\nwriting songs when in public. If I\u2019m paranoid about being watched by\npeople, I just activate it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
According to Ilham Indrawan, Senior Manager of MX Product Marketing\nat Samsung Electronics Indonesia, the Privacy Display feature is\nsupported by two screen pixel structures, namely narrow and wide\npixels.<\/p>\n
When the Privacy Display feature is active, the phone screen only\nruns the narrow pixels, while the wide pixels are turned off.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result, the display can only be seen from one side, or the\nfront of the screen. (The) right, left, top, and bottom sides cannot be\nseen,\u201d said Ilham in an online interview session with media attending\nthe Galaxy Unpacked.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, when the Privacy Display feature is deactivated, the\nSamsung S26 Ultra screen runs both pixel structures at the same time.\nTherefore, users can see the display from various angles.<\/p>\n
According to Ilham, this structure is only supported by the Galaxy\nS26 Ultra screen, not including its two other models.<\/p>\n
Samsung also allows users to set which applications they want to\n\u201chide\u201d from others. For example, only certain applications, such as\ninstant messaging applications, social media or other applications.<\/p>\n
In fact, Privacy Display can also be applied to streaming\napplications, such as Netflix, so that others cannot easily peek at the\ncontent you are watching.<\/p>\n
