        "content": "<p>Thief mobbed to death<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): A man has been beaten to death by a mob for<br>\nstealing in Kampung Payangan, Jati Asih subdistrict, East<br>\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Local police confirmed yesterday that Andi Arip was attacked<br>\nby a mob after stealing electronic goods and  a bicycle from a<br>\nresident&apos;s house on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Neighbors came out on hearing Komariah, the owner of the<br>\nhouse, scream,&quot; an officer said. &quot;Andi left the stolen goods in a<br>\ndark field and approached the mob and shouted stop thief in an<br>\neffort to save himself from the angry residents.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Komariah then arrived on the scene and pointed Andi out as the<br>\nthief.
