Theo, alleged victims fail to show up<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: The former chairman of the Investment Coordinating
\nBoard (BKPM), Theo Toemion, and two of his alleged assault
\nvictims failed to appear at city police headquarters on Monday
\nfor questioning.<\/p>\n
City police spokesman Sr. Comr. Tjiptono said none of the
\nthree provided the police with an explanation for their failure
\nto answer the summons.<\/p>\n
"This is just the first summon. We will invite them again and
\nwe hope they can come sometime this week," said Tjiptono.<\/p>\n
Police summoned Theo and two foreigners, identified as CR and
\nDM, to shed light on an alleged assault at the Jakarta
\nInternational School (JIS) in South Jakarta on April 17.<\/p>\n
Theo allegedly slapped CR, a 14-year-old boy who refereed a
\nbasketball game in which Theo's youngest son participated. DM was
\nthe coordinator for the basketball game.<\/p>\n
Police have so far questioned a U.S. citizen, identified as
\nTR, who said he saw Theo assault the boy on April 17.<\/p>\n
Officers also have questioned Second Brig. Sofyan, a member of
\nthe city police's vital objects protection unit, Riyo Santoso,
\nthe head of security at JIS, and two security guards at the
\nschool, Tatang and Junaedy. All four were on duty at the school
