        "content": "<p>Jakarta\u2019s Eid exodus traffic in 2026 is expected to divide into three\nmain directions: westward towards Sumatra, southward towards Bogor and\nsurrounding areas, and eastward towards various regions across Java.<\/p>\n<p>This traffic mapping was presented by Metro Jakarta Police Traffic\nDirector Kombes Pol Komarudin as part of security preparations for the\nexodus during Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe traffic will split into three routes or three regions. One\nheading west towards Sumatra, then southward to the Bogor region and\nsurroundings, including the eastern direction towards Central Java, West\nJava, East Java, and so forth,\u201d said Komarudin on Monday (9 March 2026),\naccording to Antara news agency.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the division of exodus traffic directions serves as\nthe basis for police to regulate traffic security patterns during the\nEid period.<\/p>\n<p>Komarudin stated that the operation will deploy more than 6,800\ncombined personnel consisting of the National Police, Armed Forces, and\nrelevant agencies throughout the Metro Jakarta Police jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are collaborating various forces of course, including\ninfrastructure to support the implementation of Operation Ketupat which,\nGod willing, will run from 13 to 25 March,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of personnel will be deployed to ensure public safety and\ncomfort during the exodus journey and return traffic following Eid.<\/p>\n<p>The posts will consist of security stations, service posts,\nintegrated posts, and monitoring posts placed on road sections predicted\nto experience surges in vehicle traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond securing exodus traffic, officers will also provide security\nfor various community activities during the Eid period, including takbir\nnight celebrations, Eid prayer services, family visits, and public\nactivities at several tourist sites in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Based on predictions from the Meteorology, Climatology, and\nGeophysics Agency (BMKG), current rainfall intensity remains in the\nmoderate to high category.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, the police have mapped several vulnerable points prone\nto flooding that could potentially disrupt traffic flow.<\/p>",
