Enjoying a warm cup of coffee in a modern caf\u00e9 may be commonplace.\nHowever, this coffee stall offers the sensation of sipping coffee atop a\nrice paddy bund, accompanied by the distinctive aroma of post-harvest\nstraw and the cool rural breeze.<\/p>\n
It is called Bersanding Kopi. This currently popular coffee stall is\nlocated in Subak Bregiding, Pangsan Village, Petang District, Badung\nRegency, Bali.<\/p>\n
When detikBali visited on Saturday (20\/6\/2026), farmers in the Subak\nBregiding rice fields had just completed the harvest season. The\nremnants of cut rice stalks were still visible, presenting an exotic,\nquintessentially rural atmosphere. Usually, when the weather is clear,\nvisitors can witness a row of mountains standing majestically on the\nnorthern side, from Mount Batukaru to Mount Agung in the distance.<\/p>\n
Pangsan Village itself has been designated as a tourism village. Its\nmain appeal is the village\u2019s pristine natural beauty and the continued\nexistence of the traditional Subak irrigation system. Recently, the\nSubak Bregiding area has become a favourite spot for residents and\ntourists to cycle and jog in the mornings or afternoons. Seeing this\npromising potential, Agung Adi and his friends opened a coffee stall in\nthe middle of the rice fields, now known as Bersanding Kopi.<\/p>\n
\u2018Initially, we saw the potential of this place, which is often busy\nas a cycling and jogging route. Because the atmosphere is so natural, we\nthought it would be fun to create a hangout spot that blends directly\nwith nature,\u2019 said Bersanding Kopi owner Agung Adi to detikBali on\nSaturday.<\/p>\n
The concept of Bersanding Kopi is very simple. Agung Adi and his\ncolleagues utilise an old Honda C70 motorcycle to sell coffee on the\nrice paddy bunds. There are no luxurious buildings or concrete walls.\nVisitors are invited to sit directly on the paddy bunds. Agung Adi has\nalso provided folding chairs and mats so visitors can relax\ncomfortably.<\/p>\n
Drinks here start from IDR 10,000. At this very affordable price,\nvisitors get a complete package: a glass of their favourite drink, a\ngentle breeze, and a peaceful atmosphere to unwind from the hustle and\nbustle of the city. Agung Adi and his four friends chose to open from 4\np.m. WITA for only three hours, as the location only gets busy during\nthat time. Since its opening day on 4 April, this hangout spot has been\nimmediately crowded with visitors.<\/p>\n
\u2018Pangsan Village actually has something to showcase. We have rice\nfields, it\u2019s still natural, and there are few permanent buildings here,\u2019\nsaid Gung Adi.<\/p>\n
Not only local residents, but visitors to the rice paddy coffee stall\nalso come from various areas such as Denpasar, Tabanan, and Gianyar. One\nof them is Nanda, who made the trip from Denpasar specifically to\nexperience the peaceful atmosphere. \u2018In the city, finding a place like\nthis is rare. I found out about it from social media, so I came here on\npurpose to try it out and relax,\u2019 said Nanda.<\/p>\n
