        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradability Commission (KPK) has exposed the modus\noperandi of an alleged extortion attempt carried out by a police officer\nstationed at the KPK, Setya Budi Dias, alongside his father, Lilik Budi\nSuprianto, against the Regent of Pemalang, Anom Widiyantoro.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Director of KPK Investigations, Achmad Taufik Husein,\nexplained that the action began when Lilik met Anom, who was accompanied\nby his trusted aide, Mohamad Haris, also known as Gus Haris. During the\nmeeting, Lilik used his son\u2019s position within the KPK to leak\ninformation regarding ongoing case handling in the Pemalang Regency.<\/p>\n<p>Taufik revealed that Lilik was able to access the confidential\ninvestigation details in Pemalang because Setya, who serves as an\nadministrative staff member at the KPK, leaked the information to his\nfather. This information subsequently became the leverage used by Lilik\nto approach the Regent for extortion purposes.<\/p>\n<p>This situation led Anom to believe the information provided by Lilik\nwas authentic. The Regent\u2019s conviction grew after Lilik presented\nevidence of his family\u2019s connection to the anti-corruption agency, along\nwith relevant official documents.<\/p>\n<p>In response to these findings, the KPK emphasised that the\ninvestigation will not stop with the Pemalang case. Investigators intend\nto explore whether this individual was involved in similar practices in\nother regions.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) on 28 July\n2026, resulting in the arrest of 21 individuals, including Anom\nWidiyantoro. Of those arrested, 14 were taken to Jakarta for intensive\ninterrogation, comprising five individuals from Jakarta, eight from\nPemalang, and one from Purworejo. On 30 July 2026, Anom and three other\nsuspects were officially presented to the public wearing the\ncharacteristic orange vests of KPK detainees.<\/p>\n<p>The KPK has divided the case into two main clusters. The first\ncluster targets the alleged extortion carried out by Anom Widiyantoro\nand Gus Haris against the Pemalang Regency Government and private\nparties. The second cluster uncovers the alleged extortion against Anom,\nperpetrated by Selya Budi Dias and his father, Lilik Budi Suprianto.<\/p>",
