The country is feeling political shockwaves again. The plenary
\nmeeting of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Jan. 12, has
\nproven that the political arena has not yet staged a final ending
\nto the drama. The players in the political arena have based their
\nactions on their own interests.<\/p>\n
Actually, they should stage the story in accordance with the
\norder of hundreds of millions of people, who hope to enjoy a
\nfascinating and satisfying sequel in which good triumphs over
\nevil. People are longing for a happy ending.<\/p>\n
The meeting actually could not be called a plenary meeting as
\nonly 245 of the 485 members were present. Where were the rest of
\nthe legislators who receive fat salaries? People who claim to be
\npublic representatives have avoided their tasks for the umpteenth
\ntime.<\/p>\n
We have often heard the pros and cons in the formation of a
\nBulogate II special committee in connection with the alleged
\nabuse of Rp 54.6 billion of Bulog's funds by Akbar Tandjung. This
\nbrings to mind a proverb: "There are no eternal friends or
\neternal enemies in politics, but only eternal interests."<\/p>\n
