        "content": "<p>General Try Sutrisno, Indonesia\u2019s sixth Vice President and a\nprominent military figure, has passed away at the age of 90. He died at\n06:58 WIB on Monday, 2 March at the Critical Care Unit of RSPAD Gatot\nSoebroto Hospital in Central Jakarta following a decline in his health\ncondition. His body will be given full military honours before being\nlaid to rest at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The PKB (Kebangkitan Bangsa Party) faction leader in the House of\nRepresentatives, Jazilul Fawaid, expressed profound condolences,\ndescribing Sutrisno as one of the nation\u2019s finest sons who had devoted\ndecades to both the military and government. He noted that Sutrisno\nserved with integrity in various positions, including Chief of Staff of\nthe Army, Commander of the Armed Forces, and Vice President from 1993 to\n1998, serving as an exemplar for younger generations.<\/p>\n<p>Fawaid remembered Sutrisno as a leader who was not only firm but also\nhumble. Despite advancing in age, Sutrisno maintained a critical stance\ntowards national issues and consistently advocated for Indonesia\u2019s\nwellbeing. \u201cHe is a statesman figure who remained consistent. Even in\nhis later years, he maintained a firm and critical attitude towards\nvarious national problems.
