        "content": "<p>Pratu Ferischal Alfarizky Abelsa, a member of the Palembang Military\nHealth Office (Denkesyah) under the Sriwijaya II Regional Military\nCommand (Kodam), was killed following a shooting by a fellow Indonesian\nNational Armed Forces (TNI) soldier at a cafe in Palembang, South\nSumatra, on Saturday (16\/5).<\/p>\n<p>The bloody incident began during an altercation at the cafe around\n02:30 WIB. Pratu BI and Sertu MRR were involved in a dispute regarding\npersonal matters, which escalated into a physical fight. \u201cFeeling\ncornered, MRR allegedly produced a makeshift firearm and opened fire,\nhitting Pratu Ferischal,\u201d stated the Head of the Indonesian Army\u2019s\nPublic Relations, Brigadier General Donny Pramono, in a statement on\nSunday (17\/5).<\/p>\n<p>Following the incident, the victim was rushed to Permata Palembang\nHospital, but was pronounced dead at 03:45 WIB. The Commander of the\nSriwijaya II Regional Military Command immediately intervened to\ninvestigate the shooting. Following the investigation, two individuals\nwere apprehended: Sertu MRR and a civilian identified by the initials\nDS, who is suspected of concealing the firearm evidence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspect, Sertu MRR, was secured while at the parking area of\nBhayangkara Hospital. The perpetrator and witnesses are currently being\nheld at Madenpom II\/4 for further examination,\u201d said Donny.<\/p>\n<p>Donny explained that Denpom II\/4 Palembang has conducted a crime\nscene investigation, interviewed 21 witnesses, secured CCTV footage, and\ncoordinated with Bhayangkara Hospital for an autopsy. The autopsy\nresults revealed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the\nlower right abdomen that penetrated the liver and the left lobe of the\nlung, causing severe haemorrhaging.<\/p>\n<p>The makeshift firearm, a lighter-type improvised weapon, was\ndiscovered at the residence of DS in the Srimulya area, Sematang Borang,\non Saturday night at 20:15 WIB.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Donny noted that the Commander of the Sriwijaya II\nRegional Military Command has ordered the Intelligence Assistant of the\nRegional Military Commander and the Military Police Commander to handle\nthe case thoroughly. The case files for MRR will be transferred to the\nOtmil I-05 Plg military court, while the case against DS will be\nreferred to the Palembang City Police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can inform you that the military funeral service for the late\nPratu Ferischal Alfarizky Abelsa was held on Saturday afternoon at 17:45\nWIB at the Sematang Borang Cemetery, Palembang, in a solemn manner,\u201d he\nconcluded.<\/p>",
