In fact, they are needed to check the<br>\ngeneral condition of a car's engine,\" Jimmy told The Jakarta<br>\nPost.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy said thick exhaust coming from a car indicated that<br>\nsomething was wrong with some of its components.<\/p>\n<p>\"This will eventually result in the decline of the car's<br>\nperformance,\" said Jimmy. \"So it's strange that people are<br>\nreluctant to have their vehicles tested,\" said Jimmy.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy, who has a workshop in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta,<br>\nadded that there had been many workshops which provide emissions<br>\ntests along with general tune-ups for cars.<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD) has<br>\ndesignated 15 workshops in the city to carry out emissions tests<br>\nto certify a car's roadworthiness.<\/p>",
