        "content": "<p>Thailand, KL form trade body<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (DPA): Malaysia and Thailand have agreed<br>\nThursday to set up a joint trade committee and a joint business<br>\ncouncil to help spur bilateral trade and investment cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was reached in talks between Malaysian Prime<br>\nMinister Mahathir Mohamad and his Thai counterpart, Chavalit<br>\nYongchaiyudh, who arrived earlier Thursday on a two-day visit.<\/p>\n<p>Malaysian Foreign Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, briefing<br>\nreporters afterwards, said both sides also agreed to revive a<br>\ndormant joint agricultural committee in an effort to boost<br>\neconomic cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Chavalit had said that he plans to woo Malaysian investors to<br>\nThailand during his trip, and he is scheduled to give a talk on<br>\ninvestment opportunities in Thailand to the Malaysian private<br>\nsector on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Abdullah said both leaders also agreed to study the<br>\npossibility of jointly developing disputed border areas for a<br>\nmutual &quot;win-win&quot; benefit in a bid to resolve a 15-year-long<br>\ndemarcation problem of the Malaysian-Thai border.<\/p>",
