        "content": "<p>Textile export quotas set<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The government has issued the distribution of<br>\nIndonesia's 1995 quota for textile exports to the United States<br>\namong exporters.<\/p>\n<p>\"The new quota, which applies to this year, was determined<br>\nafter a recent decision by the U.S. administration on imports of<br>\ntextiles and textile products from Indonesia,\" Radumalem<br>\nSembiring, a spokesman of the Ministry of Trade, stated<br>\nyesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. administration agreed to increase the import quota<br>\nof Indonesian textiles and textile products by nine percent for<br>\n1994-95.<\/p>\n<p>This means that the quota for Indonesia's exports of textiles<br>\nand textile products to the United States will raise to 542.5<br>\nmillion square meters in 1994-95 from 497 million square meter in<br>\n1993-94.<\/p>\n<p>Sembiring said all exporters who have any objection to the new<br>\nquota distribution should contact the Ministry of Trade no later<br>\nthan 60 days after this announcement was made.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia exported about US$1.2 billion worth of textiles and<br>\ntextile products to the United States in 1993.
