        "content": "<p>Tempo's 2,500th shipment<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed pharmaceutical and cosmetic<br>\nproducer PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk. made its 2,500th shipment in<br>\neight years on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Three containers weighing 50 tons each were given a formal<br>\nsendoff from Tempo's factory at the Pulogadung industrial estate<br>\nin East Jakarta. They were bound for markets in the Middle East<br>\nand Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The company has exported 3.5 billion units of medicine and 300<br>\nmillion bars of soaps worth US$80 million since beginning exports<br>\nin 1992, managing director for personal care and cosmetics Erly<br>\nAnggrahini said during the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1970, the company's main product lines include<br>\nBodrex, Hemaviton, Flucyl, Revlon, Camay and Pritho. The company,<br>\npart of the Tempo Group, employs about 7,000 people at its seven<br>\nplants across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Having paid nearly all of its foreign debts of $105 million<br>\nahead of schedule in December, Erly said Tempo Scan Pacific hoped<br>\nexports could reach $20 million this year.
