        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 Telkomsel has reopened applications for the 12th NextDev,\nan impact incubator programme for purpose-driven Indonesian\ntechnopreneurs developing digital solutions to address social and\nenvironmental issues.<\/p>\n<p>Under the theme \u201cAI-Powered Innovations\u201d, this year\u2019s NextDev\nprioritises technopreneurs who have adopted or are exploring artificial\nintelligence (AI) to deliver tangible, sustainable benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Funding for digital start-ups in Indonesia fell by 94.8% between 2021\nand 2025, while Indonesia has received only about 4% of AI funding in\nSoutheast Asia. NextDev seeks to support local technopreneurs in\napplying AI, while building strong business fundamentals, understanding\nthe market and developing solutions that meet real societal needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNextDev gives technopreneurs a platform to demonstrate how\ntechnology, including AI, can address real problems. As an impact\nincubator, NextDev will help them strengthen their technology,\nbusinesses and impact, while opening up opportunities to collaborate\nwith the Telkomsel ecosystem,\u201d said Abdullah Fahmi, Telkomsel\u2019s\nvice-president of corporate communications and social responsibility, on\nMonday (12 October 2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis CSR programme is one expression of Telkomsel\u2019s \u2018Serving with\nHeart\u2019 spirit, through strengthening founders and digital solutions that\ncan accelerate Indonesia\u2019s progress,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The 12th NextDev comprises three stages: Scouting, Academy and\nSummit. From the Scouting stage, the selection process will prioritise\nsolutions that have adopted or are exploring AI.<\/p>\n<p>Assessment will cover business performance, impact, innovation and\nthe quality and readiness of the technopreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty selected technopreneurs will take part in validation and\npitching before 10 are chosen for the NextDev Academy.<\/p>\n<p>They will receive guidance from mentors in technology and AI,\nfinance, marketing and productivity. The support is intended to help\nthem validate user needs, strengthen business models, improve operations\nand create added value through AI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor us, NextDev is a valuable space to test solutions, strengthen\nbusiness fundamentals and learn directly from mentors and industry\nplayers,\u201d said Syekh A.
