Makassar (ANTARA) - Telkomsel is collaborating with Hasanuddin\nUniversity (Unhas) to develop talent in Eastern Indonesia through the\n\u2018Thrive Goes to Universitas Hasanuddin\u2019 programme, which empowers the\nyounger generation to be better prepared for the professional world.<\/p>\n
To strengthen this collaboration, Telkomsel and Unhas signed a\ncooperation agreement for independent study programmes for students,\nfeaturing the Virtual Internship Programme (Virtuship) and the DPI\n(Domain Private Internet) Package for access to internal applications,\nheld in Makassar on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe presence of Thrive at Unhas brings Telkomsel closer to talent in\nEastern Indonesia, provides an insight into the industrial world, and\nopens space for students to recognise various opportunities to prepare\nthemselves after graduation,\u201d said Dudun Abdul Falah Sidiq, Vice\nPresident of People Development and Management at Telkomsel.<\/p>\n
Dudun noted that the company believes potential can emerge from\nanywhere, with perspective, experience, and an understanding of the\nlocal context serving as unique strengths.<\/p>\n
Through this collaboration, Telkomsel is expanding its Virtuship\nProgramme outside of Java for the first time, with Hasanuddin University\nbecoming the second campus targeted by Telkomsel, following Telkom\nUniversity.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe workload can be converted into semester credits, and those who\ngraduate will receive a certificate plus the opportunity to enter a\ntalent pool for future career opportunities,\u201d Dudum explained.<\/p>\n
The Director of Student Affairs at Hasanuddin University,\nProf.\u00a0Suhasman, appreciated the collaboration with Telkomsel, which\nprovides students with direct insight into industrial developments,\ntechnology, and the dynamics of the working world.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is important to broaden students\u2019 perspectives while\nencouraging them to continuously develop their competence, communication\nskills, and collaboration so they are better prepared to meet the needs\nof the future workforce,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
