Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Telkomsel, together with BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan, has collaborated to launch the Jamsostek Poin benefit\npackage, an innovative collaboration that brings convenient registration\nto become a BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participant for prospective\nparticipants and for those in the Not Wage Recipients sector (BPU) or\ninformal workers.<\/p>\n
The strategic collaboration was formalised through signing of a\nCooperation Agreement (PKS). The event took place at Plaza BPJamsostek,\nJakarta. The PKS was signed by Faizal Rachman, Deputy for Participation\nin Special Program and Agency BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Nyoman Adiyasa, Vice\nPresident Industrial and Resources Account Management Telkomsel, and\nwitnessed by Agung Nugroho, Director of Participant BPJS Ketenagakerjaan\nand Stanislaus Susatyo, Director of Sales Telkomsel.<\/p>\n
For many informal workers in Indonesia, access to employment\nprotection is not always as easy as needed. In response to this need,\nTelkomsel Enterprise and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan formed a strategic\ncollaboration to present a service that is more practical, accessible,\nand relevant to millions of workers in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Through utilisation of Telkomsel\u2019s integrated digital ecosystem, the\ncollaboration presents a new approach to expanding the reach of BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan services, including for informal workers such as\nride-hailing drivers, couriers, and micro-entrepreneurs who have faced\nbarriers to social protection.<\/p>\n
One of the main initiatives in the collaboration is the development\nof the Jamsostek Poin benefit package, which integrates digital\nconnectivity with social protection benefits of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.\nThrough this solution, customers can obtain a data package while also\ngaining access to and protection under social security in one integrated\necosystem.<\/p>\n
In practice, customers simply access the MyTelkomsel app to select\nthe Jamsostek Poin package, and in doing so immediately obtain data\nconnectivity while also obtaining social security protection. The\nprocess that previously required separate purchases is simplified into a\nsingle, quicker experience. The package can be enjoyed by customers\nmeeting criteria set by Telkomsel Enterprise and BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan.<\/p>\n
The distribution of Jamsostek Poin services will be strengthened\nthrough Telkomsel\u2019s various digital channels, including the MyTelkomsel\napp, as well as WhatsApp and SMS campaigns, making it easier for\ncustomers to obtain information, understand how the service works,\nregister, and utilise the service. This approach is expected to reach a\nbroader segment of informal workers to maximise benefits.<\/p>\n

Registration Convenience for Informal Workers<\/p>\n
BPJS Ketenagakerjaan\u2019s Director of Participation, Agung Nugroho, said\nthe collaboration with Telkomsel is part of the company\u2019s efforts to\nwiden access to social protection for employment through digital\ntechnology and a community-facing ecosystem; the collaboration is part\nof expanding coverage of informal workers through digital technology and\na strategic partner ecosystem.<\/p>\n
\u2018Still, there are many BPU participants who have not registered as\nBPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants. Through the Jamsostek Poin benefit\npackage with Telkomsel Enterprise, we aim to provide easier access to\nregistration to obtain protection as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants\nso that more workers receive protection of work in a massive and\nsustainable way,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Agung added that this collaboration aligns with BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan\u2019s pillar 3C (Coverage, Care, Credibility). Through the\ncollaboration, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan aims to widen Coverage for informal\nworkers through a digital ecosystem close to the public.<\/p>\n
