TelkomGroup is supporting Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on the
Governance of Electronic Systems in Child Protection (PP Tunas), which
was newly implemented at the end of last month. This support is
demonstrated through service policies and innovations offered to
customers and the public. The commitment is realised by strengthening
digital security, enhancing the implementation of personal data
protection, and developing safe and responsible digital solutions.
TelkomGroup is also working to expand connectivity and ensure cyber
security in its services. In addition, it is actively introducing
various educational programmes for the younger generation and
educational communities in several regions on digital media ethics,
cyber security, and the positive use of technology. Minister of
Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid also touched on the mandate of PP
Tunas in her speech at the Open Senate Graduation Session of Telkom
University for Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. She stated that
graduates from the university are not only equipped with academic
degrees but also with moral responsibility to help navigate Indonesia’s
digital future. The younger generation plays an important role in the
nation’s sustainability, including supporting the creation of a safe,
healthy, and fair digital space as mandated by PP Tunas. “This knowledge
equips you not just to follow the flow of digitalisation, but also to
boldly take steps to play a role as drivers and to create value by
expanding the benefits of technology and strengthening the nation’s
competitiveness, especially in the digital field,” she said, quoted on
Tuesday (28/4/2026). The current challenges in the digital space, she
said, are not just about accelerating technology. However, there is also
an increase in misinformation and risks in cyberspace. Therefore, the
role of the younger generation is very important as agents of digital
literacy for society. Telkom’s President Director, Dian Siswarini,
expressed the corporation’s commitment to playing a role in producing a
quality younger generation with digital competitiveness. University
graduates today are not only required to be academically intelligent,
and she added that they must also have integrity, resilience, and
concern for the nation’s progress. “We see today’s graduates not only as
job seekers, but as agents of change, individuals capable of creating
solutions, opening opportunities, and providing real impact for society
and certainly for the nation,” Dian concluded.
",
