Telkom turns a deaf ear<\/p>\n

On March 1, 2003, I went to telecommunications company PT
\nTelkom's service center on Jl. Iskandarsyah to cancel Telkom
\ntelephone connection No. 72788479. I was required to provide a
\nsecurity deposit as a guarantee for the February telephone bill.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, I was also required to provide a security
\ndeposit for the March bill as well. I went to the service center
\non March 1 to ensure that calculating the bill would be easy. The
\nMarch bill should have consisted of less than one day but I had
\nto provide a security deposit for the whole month.<\/p>\n
I did as I was asked and was told that I could take back my
\nsecurity deposits on March 20. I showed up on this date but was
\ntold to return on April 10.<\/p>\n
I returned again on this date but the person in charge said
\nthey were too busy to take care of my business and asked me to
\ncome back at the end of the month.<\/p>\n
Very clearly, Telkom has little regard for its customers? Is
\nthis really the way Telkom treats its customers.<\/p>\n
I hope new companies will soon enter the fixed-line telephone
\nindustry so that I can switch to a telephone company that
\nprovides its customers with better service.<\/p>\n
