        "content": "<p>Telkom responds<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the letter of Dec. 5, 1996 titled Telephone not<br>\nfunctioning by our customer with phone number 7434270, we would<br>\nlike to explain as follows.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, please accept our apology for the inconvenience<br>\ncaused.<\/p>\n<p>We received the first complaint on Dec. 3, 1996. Our<br>\nmaintenance staff made a direct check and recheck on the<br>\ntransmission from the main distribution frame to the drop wire<br>\n(close to customer&apos;s home), and the result was good. However, we<br>\ncould not check the condition of the telephone terminal at the<br>\nhouse because nobody was there.<\/p>\n<p>On Dec. 7, we checked the cable and phone terminal in the<br>\nhouse.
