        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 The use of telematics technology in fleet\nmanagement has helped ground transport provider Aerotrans reduce\nincidents of harsh braking.<\/p>\n<p>The ground transport provider for Garuda Indonesia Group recorded a\nreduction of up to 57 per cent in harsh-braking incidents since adopting\na connected fleet-management solution.<\/p>\n<p>At a discussion in Jakarta on Thursday, company officials said\nAerotrans had connected more than 250 vehicles through Geotab since\n2024. The technology provides data on vehicles and drivers\u2019 behaviour on\nthe road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApplications like this help us manage our fleet in terms of\nefficiency and effectiveness and, most importantly, improve customer\nsatisfaction as an air transport services manager,\u201d Aerotrans director\nKadek Bayu Temaja said.<\/p>\n<p>Aerotrans also recorded a 66 per cent reduction in aggressive\nacceleration and a 22 per cent reduction in idling time after adopting\nthe technology solution.<\/p>\n<p>The technology helped the company achieve a fleet safety score of 89\nper cent and a 61 per cent improvement in predicting accident rates per\nkilometre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are looking for a solution that can grow alongside our business\nand operations, and provide real-time insights. Geotab offers a platform\nthat aligns with our values, particularly in terms of precision and\nsafety,\u201d Bayu said.<\/p>\n<p>The data is integrated through MyGeotab, a fleet-management platform\nthat combines vehicle and driver information in one system.<\/p>\n<p>Geotab also provides GO Focus Plus, which adds AI-based video context\nand in-cabin alerts for risks such as fatigue, distraction and following\ntoo closely.<\/p>\n<p>Bayu said the technology solution helped the company collect vehicle\nand driver-behaviour data to support more measurable fleet-safety\nmanagement.<\/p>",
