Kurniawan, The Jakarta Post, Denpasar<\/p>\n<p>Most of the top seeds in the boys&apos; singles advanced to the<br>\nfourth round of the Milo Junior Indonesia Open on Wednesday, but<br>\nChina lost its 3\/4th seed Chen Tianyu to local badminton player<br>\nTeguh Siswanto.<\/p>\n<p>Chen was surprised 12-15, 3-15 by Teguh in the second round.<\/p>\n<p>Boys&apos; singles top seed Lu Qicheng stamped his authority in his<br>\nmatches with easy wins over local opponents in the second and<br>\nthird rounds, both played on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Lu thrashed Azwar 15-2, 15-3 and Imbar Haryadi 15-4, 15-2.<\/p>\n<p>Second seed Fauzi Adnan of Indonesia beat Sayed Matir of Syria<br>\n15-4, 15-1 in the second round and then Wawan of Indonesia 15-8,<br>\n15-2.<\/p>\n<p>Zairul Hafiz Zainuddin of Malaysia, also seeded 3\/4, was<br>\ntested in both his matches, defeating Kasman of Indonesia 15-9,<br>\n15-3 and Ricky Widianto of Singapore 15-6, 17-16.<\/p>\n<p>Achmad Rivai of Indonesia, who played for Indonesia in the<br>\nAsian Junior Badminton Championship in Jakarta two weeks ago and<br>\nis 5\/8 seed, was too strong for a pair of compatriots, beating<br>\nRai Vichy Sopha Yupinato 15-2, 15-6 and Farhad  15-4, 15-4.<\/p>\n<p>The girls set up their quarterfinals for Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Girls&apos; singles top seed, 17-year-old Wang Yihan of China, who<br>\nis suffering from a knee strain, almost lost in the second round,<br>\nfinally pulling out a 9-11, 11-0, 11-8 against 15-year-old Maria<br>\nFebe Kusumastuti, who plays for the Djarum club.<\/p>\n<p>In the deciding game, Maria Febe took a 8-3 lead, but a string<br>\nof errors allowed Wang back into the match.<\/p>\n<p>Wang gave a more convincing 11-7, 11-7 display in the<br>\nafternoon against Pupin, another local player.<\/p>\n<p>Second seed Tai Yi also advanced and will meet 5\/8 seed Pia<br>\nZebadiah of Indonesia, the opponent who beat her in the team<br>\nevent of the Asian Junior Badminton Championship,<\/p>\n<p>Tai drubbed Felicia of Indonesia 11-1, 11-0 before overcoming<br>\nGu Juan of Singapore 13-10, 11-2.<\/p>\n<p>Pia cruised against Goh Liu Ying of Malaysia 11-4, 11-4 and<br>\nRichi Puspita Dili of Indonesia 11-2, 11-7.<\/p>\n<p>Belaetrix Manuputty of Indonesia, the 3\/4th seed, also<br>\nadvanced by defeating Zhang Beiwen of Singapore 13-12, 11-4 in<br>\nthe third round.
