        "content": "<p>The Tegal City Government, in Central Java, has launched a Gerakan\nPangan Murah (Affordable Food Movement) by providing 1,000 subsidised\nfood packages. Additionally, 300 nutritional aid packages were\ndistributed to target groups consisting of 100 pregnant women with\nChronic Energy Deficiency (KEK), 100 toddlers at risk of stunting, and\n100 packages of fish-based processed food for KEK pregnant women.<\/p>\n<p>The GPM activity and the handover of aid for the Gerakan Minum Susu\ndan Makan Telur Itik (GERIMISMATIK) and Gerakan Memasyarakatkan Makan\nIkan (GEMARIKAN) programmes took place at the Tegal Timur District Hall\non Wednesday (24\/6\/2026). The initiative is part of the government\u2019s\neffort to maintain food price affordability while improving the\nnutritional quality of the community.<\/p>\n<p>Tegal Mayor Dedy Yon Supriyono stated that food security and\nnutritional fulfilment are crucial foundations for human resource\ndevelopment. The government is present to ensure that the public\ncontinues to have access to safe, nutritious, and affordable food amidst\nfluctuating food prices. \u201cThrough the Affordable Food Movement, the\nTegal City Government seeks to help residents obtain basic necessities\nat more affordable prices,\u201d said Dedy Yon.<\/p>\n<p>The 1,000 affordable food packages provided consisted of premium rice\nand cooking oil, subsidised through a collaboration between the Tegal\nCity Government, Bank Indonesia, Bank Jateng, and Bulog. The food\npackages, normally priced at IDR 90,000, were sold for IDR 80,000 for\ncash transactions and IDR 75,000 for QRIS transactions. In addition to\nthe subsidised packages, residents could also purchase various other\naffordable commodities, including SPHP rice, Minyak Kita, sugar,\nshallots, garlic, chillies, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken meat.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, the Tegal City Government also distributed\nGERIMISMATIK and GEMARIKAN aid as part of efforts to accelerate stunting\nreduction. A total of 300 nutritional aid packages were distributed to\ntarget groups: 100 for pregnant women with KEK, 100 for toddlers at risk\nof stunting, and 100 packages of fish-based processed food for KEK\npregnant women. \u201cThrough this programme, we strive to ensure that\nmothers and children receive adequate nutritional intake, because the\nbest investment for a region is investment in the health and quality of\nits young generation,\u201d Dedy Yon explained.<\/p>\n<p>The Mayor also expressed appreciation for the support from various\nparties who have synergised to maintain food supply stability and\nprices, as well as to support nutritional improvement programmes. \u201cLet\nus cultivate the habit of consuming diverse, nutritious, balanced, and\nsafe foods to support the creation of a healthy, intelligent, and\nhigh-quality generation in Tegal City,\u201d he urged.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Tegal City Marine and Fisheries, Agriculture and Food\nAgency, Cucuk Daryanto, explained that the GERIMISMATIK aid, consisting\nof milk and duck eggs, was given to pregnant women with KEK and toddlers\nat risk of stunting. Meanwhile, the GEMARIKAN aid, consisting of\nprocessed fish products such as bandeng gepuk and fish jelly, was given\nto pregnant women with KEK. According to Cucuk, the aid recipients were\nidentified through coordination with the Tegal City Health Agency and\nhad undergone verification and validation by each urban village. \u201cThe\naid distribution was carried out in stages from 24 to 26 June 2026\nacross four districts: Tegal Timur, Tegal Selatan, Margadana, and Tegal\nBarat,\u201d Cucuk stated.<\/p>",
