The Faculty of Technology and Design (FTD) at Bunda Mulia University\n(UBM) organised TechnoArt 2026 as a dissemination forum for research\nresults, bringing together the fields of design, technology, and\nartificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n
Carrying the theme \u2018Empowering Research Collaboration at the\nIntersection of Design, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence\u2019, the\nevent provided a platform for UBM lecturers to present their research\nfindings and engage in discussions with academics from various study\nprogrammes and universities.<\/p>\n
The peak of the dissemination activity was held in a hybrid format,\nfeaturing three keynote speakers: UBM professor Johanes F. Andry,\nBandung Institute of Technology (ITB) professor Yasraf Amir Piliang, and\nNational Chung Cheng University (Taiwan) professor Pao-Ann Hsiung. The\nsession was moderated by Adhiguna Mahendra.<\/p>\n
A total of 39 research papers were presented during the forum.\nDiscussions covered developments in design, technology, the utilisation\nof AI, and opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.<\/p>\n
The Dean of FTD UBM, Indah Tjahjawulan, stated that TechnoArt 2026\nwas designed to bring together various academic perspectives in response\nto the advancements in technology and AI.<\/p>\n
\u201cTechnoArt 2026 serves as a space for us to unite different\nperspectives in viewing the development of design, technology, and\nartificial intelligence more collaboratively. For FTD UBM, research is\nnot just about generating new knowledge, but also about how that\nknowledge can unlock innovation opportunities and provide an impact on\neducation, the creative industry, and society,\u201d Indah said in her\nstatement.<\/p>\n
According to her, FTD U_BM continues to encourage an academic culture\nthat is open to interdisciplinary collaboration. The academic community\nis also encouraged to adapt to technological developments through\nresearch and academic activities involving lecturers, students, and\npartners from various institutions.<\/p>\n
In addition to research dissemination, TechnoArt 2026 was held\nalongside the Designature 2026 exhibition. This exhibition showcased 60\nof the best final project works from UBM\u2019s Visual Communication Design\n(DKV) students for the 2025\/2026 academic period.<\/p>\n
The Designature 2026 exhibition was held alternately at the UBM Ancol\nCampus and the UBM Serpong Campus. The event served as a medium for\nstudents to present their work to the academic community, industry\npartners, and the public.<\/p>\n
The series of activities also included a screening session of five\nshort films created by UBM DKV students at FLIX, PIK Avenue. The\nscreening provided an opportunity for students to introduce their\naudiovisual works to the public.<\/p>\n
FTD UBM noted that the TechnoArt and Designature 2026 series is part\nof an effort to integrate lecturer research with student work within a\nsingle academic ecosystem.
