        "content": "<p>Tax office worker may get 3 months<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The prosecution asked the South Jakarta District<br>\nCourt yesterday to sentence an employee of the Directorate of<br>\nProperty Tax to three months imprisonment for alleged land fraud.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Usman said that the defendant, Arief S., 46, had<br>\nmade out a bogus receipt for the fictitious sale of a 70-square-<br>\nmeter plot of land to his neighbor, Abdul Muthalib. According to<br>\nthe phony receipt, Arief paid Rp 3,250,000 for the land, the<br>\nprosecution alleged.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant owns a 240-sq. m plot adjacent to Muthalib's.<\/p>\n<p>Using the fake receipt, the defendant altered the title deed<br>\nto the land (girik) from 240 sq. m to 310 sq. m, the prosecutor<br>\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Muthalib earlier testified that he had never sold his<br>\nplot to anybody, the prosecutor said.<\/p>\n<p>Usman added that police had confirmed that both the receipt<br>\nand the title deed were false.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding Judge Dorris A.A.
