The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has extended the deadline for submitting corporate annual income tax returns (SPT Tahunan PPh Badan) to 31 May 2026, following around 4,000 requests from taxpayers for relaxation. This decision, directed by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, aims to allow more time for accurate and complete reporting while maintaining state revenue targets. Tax collection performance remains positive up to the end of April, and further extensions for payment relief are under analysis.

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has officially
extended the deadline for reporting the Annual Notification Letter (SPT)
for Corporate Income Tax (PPh) until 31 May 2026.

DJP Director General Bimo Wijayanto stated that this policy was
implemented in response to the high demand for relaxation from taxpayers
and to provide additional time for the reporting process.

“This morning, I sought guidance from Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi
Sadewa, and he instructed us to consider relaxing the submission of the
annual corporate PPh SPT. We are processing this extension and will
release it soon,” Bimo said during a press conference at the Central
Jakarta Madya Tax Office on Thursday (30 April 2026).

“So today, we have decided this given the numerous requests for
extension. There are about 4,000 requests from corporate taxpayers for
relaxation,” he explained.

With this extension, DJP hopes that taxpayers can submit their SPTs
more completely and accurately.

“Hopefully, this provides more certainty for taxpayers and additional
time to prepare everything needed, including the completeness of
calculations and other administrative requirements,” he said.

Bimo also emphasised that the relaxation decision still considers the
state revenue targets.

“As for extending payment relaxation, we are calculating and
analysing it first, and we will announce it soon after our analysis is
final,” Bimo stated.

Meanwhile, tax revenue performance up to the end of April is still
showing a positive trend.

With this policy, DJP hopes the corporate annual SPT reporting
process can run more optimally without disrupting state revenue
performance.
",
