        "content": "<p>Police have arrested Taufik Hidayat (30), the perpetrator who\nconfined and tortured his girlfriend, YTR (29), for three years. Taufik\nwas arrested in Majalaya, West Java.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has been apprehended in Majalaya,\u201d West Java Police Chief\nInspector General Rudi Setiawan told detikcom on Tuesday (23\/6).<\/p>\n<p>Rudi had previously visited YTR, the female victim of the abuse and\nconfinement carried out by Taufik Hidayat. He revealed that the victim\nsuffered damage to several organs as well as slash wounds on her legs\nand cigarette burns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe forensic doctor has been able to identify the damaged organs\nthat are no longer functioning. Among them are the eyes, then the lips,\nthere are slash marks on the legs from a sharp object, then cigarette\nburns, and so on. This, of course, serves as evidence of what has\noccurred or been done by the suspect,\u201d Rudi said at Hasan Sadikin\nHospital in Bandung.<\/p>\n<p>According to accounts from local residents, Taufik claimed to work as\na debt collector. The wife of the boarding house keeper, Mulyati, said\nthe victim never left the boarding room in her daily life. Only Taufik\nfrequently went out of the boarding house for activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe perpetrator would leave the boarding house to buy rice, and even\nwhen he went out briefly, the door was always locked. He was afraid\nsomeone might enter the boarding house,\u201d Mulyati said on Tuesday\n(23\/6).<\/p>\n<p>During their stay at the boarding house, Mulyati explained, the\nalleged perpetrator claimed to work as a debt collector at a collection\nagency.
