        "content": "<p>The Chairman of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster\nRehabilitation and Reconstruction in Sumatra, Muhammad Tito Karnavian,\nhas confirmed that the government is accelerating the preparation of an\nalternative route in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh, during the handling of\nthe Enang-Enang Bridge. Tito stated on Wednesday in Jakarta that he had\ninspected the condition of Jalan Werlah in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh,\non Tuesday (7\/7). He added that the Minister of Public Works, Dody\nHanggodo, would also visit the site to ensure the acceleration of\ninfrastructure handling. \u201cWhen leaders go down to the field like that,\nit means the handling is serious. It\u2019s not just talk, and I will\ncertainly continue to monitor its progress,\u201d he said. Tito explained\nthat the government would build a bridge and simultaneously widen Jalan\nWerlah to serve as an alternative route during the repair process of the\nEnang-Enang Bridge. Meanwhile, heavy-tonnage vehicles will only be\npermitted to pass once the technical assessment from the Aceh National\nRoad Implementation Agency is completed. The government will also\ninstall a portal to restrict heavy vehicles. \u201cWe do not want any\naccidents that could cause a collapse,\u201d he said. The width of Jalan\nWerlah will be increased from four metres to six metres. The road will\nalso be paved and complemented with the construction of a new bridge to\nimprove community connectivity. The government is targeting the\ncompletion of the work by the end of 2026. During the inspection, Tito\nalso spoke with residents affected by flooding, who shared the\nconditions of their settlements.
