        "content": "<p>According to Satgas PRR data as of 8 May, the total number of\naffected educational facilities in three provinces reached 4,922 school\nunits. Despite facing considerable damage, all affected schools are\nensured to continue learning activities with a 100 per cent achievement,\nwhether in the original schools, emergency classes, educational tents,\nor temporary learning sites.<\/p>\n<p>To date, 3,002 schools have implemented Revitalisation Cooperation\nAgreements for educational units with a total budget of Rp 2.86\ntrillion. Of this number, 2,792 schools have received the first phase\ndisbursement, with a total of Rp 1.9 trillion distributed.<\/p>\n<p>In Aceh, revitalisation is underway in 2,012 schools with a total\nbudget of Rp 1.98 trillion. Meanwhile, in North Sumatra, it covers 658\nschools with a budget of Rp 600.9 billion, and in West Sumatra, 332\nschools with funding support of Rp 281.7 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson for Satgas PRR, Amran, stated that the acceleration of\nschool revitalisation continues to be driven because education is one of\nthe priority sectors in post-disaster recovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe impact on educational facilities is indeed quite significant.\nTherefore, the construction and rehabilitation process continues to be\npushed so that completion can happen quickly,\u201d said Amran in a written\nstatement on Friday (8\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the acceleration of revitalisation is also carried\nout through cross-sector collaboration, including with the Indonesian\nArmy. A total of 2,606 schools are being revitalised through\nself-management, while 267 schools in the category of heavy damage and\nrelocation are handled through cooperation with the Army.<\/p>\n<p>Amran explained that the construction process for affected schools is\ncarried out in stages because it must adapt to field conditions,\nstarting from land clearing to rebuilding for schools that experienced\nheavy damage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf heavily damaged, it certainly requires new construction, so it\ncannot be immediately occupied. Therefore, some schools are temporarily\nrelocated to ensure learning continues,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Satgas PRR ensures that the acceleration of educational facility\nrevitalisation will continue so that students in affected areas can\nreturn to learning safely and comfortably.<\/p>",
