Jakarta \u2014 The Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah Youth held Tanwir II\n2026, which became a momentum to consolidate the direction of the\norganisation\u2019s youth movement in facing social, political, and economic\nchallenges, and the transformation of Indonesia\u2019s younger\ngeneration.<\/p>\n
\u2018Muhammadiyah Youth must take root downwards, be present at the\nheartbeat of youth issues, enter campuses, villages, mosques,\ncommunities, and the spaces where people are struggling to face life,\u2019\nsaid the Chairman of the Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah Youth,\nDzulfikar Ahmad Tawalla, in a statement from Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The Tanwir II, held in Bali from 21-23 May 2026, carries the theme\n\u2018Grow and Root Deeply for Indonesia Jaya\u2019 (Prosperous Indonesia). The\nTanwir this time serves as a reflection and evaluation of the\norganisation\u2019s strategic agenda, the formulation of positions on\nnational and religious issues, and preparations for the forthcoming\nMuhammadiyah Youth Congress.<\/p>\n
The man known as Fikar said that the challenges facing the younger\ngeneration today are not only about jobs and education, but also a\ncrisis of direction, unequal access, and loss of moral courage in the\npublic space. Therefore, Muhammadiyah Youth must grow with a clear and\nimpactful orientation.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that Muhammadiyah Youth should not simply be spectators\nof change, but must dare to leave the organisation\u2019s comfort zone and\nenter the arena of real social change.<\/p>\n

To take root at the\ngrassroots so as to understand the reality of the people, and to grow\nforward so as to be able to lead Indonesia. That is the spirit of this\nTanwir,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
At the opening moment of Tanwir II, the PP Muhammadiyah Youth also\nlaunched the book Negarawan Muda Indonesia by Dzulfikar Ahmad\nTawalla.<\/p>\n
The book emerged from the concern of the Deputy Minister for the\nProtection of Indonesian Migrant Workers about the increasing distance\nbetween politics and the ethics of service, as well as the limited space\nfor leadership development that is aligned with the people and the\nnation\u2019s idea.<\/p>\n
In its foreword, Fikar said that the younger generation needs more\nexamples of moral courage than mere political popularity.<\/p>\n
