Tansil causing trouble again?<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A man reported to the police yesterday that he
\nsaw the jailbird Eddy Tansil in a car which hit his scooter from
\nbehind on Jl. Salemba, in Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Hendra, who works for a private firm, told the Central Jakarta
\nPolice Precinct that Tansil was in a red Corolla sedan when the
\ncar hit his scooter, according to a police officer who requested
\nanonymity.<\/p>\n
\"The car sped away when I expressed surprise at who was
\nsitting in the back seat,\" the officer quoted Hendra as saying.<\/p>\n
Hendra, a resident of Jl. Kayu Putih, East Jakarta, showed the
\npolice his damaged scooter.<\/p>\n
The officer said that Hendra's report is being studied.<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old Tansil escaped from Cipinang penitentiary on
\nthe evening of May 4.<\/p>\n
Some believe he is in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n
The prison head, Mintardjo, has been fired for failing to
\nanticipate the escape and for not reporting that Tansil was
\nmissing immediately.<\/p>\n
The escape of Eddy Tansil prompted public revulsion all over
\nthe country. Some student organizations have held demonstrations
\ndemanding that those responsible for the jailbreak resign from
